ROBIN MELLOM THE CLASSROOM TO DISNEY-HYPERION

FROM PUBLISHER'S WEEKLY CHILDREN'S BOOKSHELF: RIGHTS REPORT
Christian Trimmer of Disney-Hyperion has acquired world English rights to The Classroom by Robin Mellom, pitched as Modern Family for middle graders, in which a documentary crew descends on a middle school to chronicle the life of seventh grader and epic worrier Trevor Jones and his classmates. Publication is planned for summer 2012. Jill Corcoran at Herman Agency did the four-book, six-figure deal.

CONGRATS Robin and Christian! And yes writers, dreams really do come true. Robin has quit her day job and with one YA and one MG pubbing per year, Robin is writing full-time!

There is a great story to who this deal came about, but I will leave that for Robin to share:) Click here for Robin's fab blog and to read how she went from no books to 6 books in 6 months:)
