WEEKENDS

Here's to weekends, going to the beach, zoning out in the sand and coming up with your next great book idea. OK, it is a little early to know if it is great or not, but it just could be. I wrote the beginning and the end while attempting a nap, and then I spent the next couple of hours repeating them to myself so that I wouldn't forget them before I made it home. From now on I have to remember to bring paper and a pen wherever I go. And I call myself a writer.

the worst is when you think of something during the night between waking and sleep. that stuff always gets lost in the ether, usually...

Oh, yeah, I've probably lost a dozen brilliant books / scenes / dialog in the space between waking and dreaming!

Hi, Jill
There must be something in the ether because I joined blogland just a few weeks ago!
You know you could have written the beginning and end in the sand and taken a photo...
Perhaps pen and paper is a better idea, though.
Good luck with the story.

I love the writing in the sand idea!
I also love the image of you walking around repeating the idea to yourself.

jacqui, yeah, there's nothing like looking like a loony muttering writer. haha!

Hi Jill...paper and pen are always a must...a writers best ideas usually come when attempting to sleep. Many times I have gotten jarred awake in the middle of the night with a great idea.
